On Saturday, April 13, 2013, approximately 175 guests attended the seventh
Art After Dark fundraising event to support the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s award-winning Division of Education and Public Programs. This metallic themed fête sparkled with dazzling décor, delicious food, cool cocktails, and exhilarating entertainment, including a spectacular ice-sculpting performance by Fear No Ice.
The exciting and highly successful
Art After Dark Live Auction featured Sotheby’s auctioneer Mary Jo Otsea with lucky bidders taking home amazing packages, including a beautiful champagne and diamond pendant from A. Jacoby & Company; dinner for 10 guests and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum with Museum President and COO Gail Harrity; four tickets to Saturday Night Live and a two-night stay at the Four Seasons Hotel New York; a golf-themed package with tickets to the U.S. Open and a new set of clubs; and an "art-venture" in New York City with Museum Director Timothy Rub. In-kind sponsor Saks Fifth Avenue Philadelphia donated a “Fashion Forward” package with a custom-designed Libertine jacket, two tickets to Libertine’s spring 2014 fashion presentation, and a luncheon for 25 guests with the designer at the Bala Cynwyd store.
Event proceeds benefit the Museum’s Division of Education, which serves individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, with programs and activities for those who live within the region, across the country, and around the world. Thanks to all attendees and sponsors for your generous support.
