The Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show is recognized as the nation’s most prestigious, juried exhibition and sale of contemporary American craft. Presented by The Women’s Committee the Craft Show is the single largest fundraiser for the Museum. Proceeds support educational programs, exhibitions, and fund purchases of art and contemporary craft for the permanent collection.

This premier show and sale of contemporary craft, now in its 36th year, includes 195 of the finest craft artists in the United States and abroad. Guest artists from Britain will be featured at this year’s Show. The Committee continues to innovate by introducing new attractions to the Show. Since 2001, the Craft Show has featured international guest artists annually. Past guest countries include Korea, Japan, Germany, Israel, Ireland, Great Britain, Finland and Canada.

At the Show each year there are daily artist demonstrations ranging from wood turning to knife-honing; the art of roasting coffee; how to tie a scarf and how to felt wool; how to weave basketry and how to create knitwear.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show committee comprises over 100 volunteers who meet and plan year round to present the Show. To date the committee has raised over $10 million for the Museum.
