This large Adoration of the Magi by the Master of the Morrison Triptych was likely completed around 1504, judging from the progress shown by the artist of the construction of the Antwerp Cathedral tower, seen in the background. This scene was probably painted to be the wing of an altarpiece. The original frame is lost but evidence suggests that it included a central element dividing the composition, as seen here.
