Woven Textile

"Bizarre" design, very late; furnishing or dress silk. Double vertical rows of repeating large, curving sprays of fantastic flowers, tiered clusters of fruits and seed pods, most of which are patterned with different diapering, sprouting a large, drooping leaf, framing a fruit cluster with tiers of diminishing size; pattern echoed and complemented by damask patterning of ground fabric.
