Lace in this pattern designed by Alcide Roussel was exhibited at the Paris Exhibition of 1867. The design was also manufactured in two other techniques--black bobbin lace, made at Bayeaux, and Brussels appliqué lace (bobbin and needle lace on tulle). Dilys E.
