This narrow kantha is bordered with alternating red and blue leaf sprigs with contrasting stem swags. The principle motif is an elaborate processional chariot holding a large icon of blue Krishna flanked by red gopis (cowherd women). The chariot rests on a great elephant; its spires, domes, and flags span nearly the entire height of the cloth.
