Catharine Wistar Morris (American, 1772–1859)
Catherine Wistar Morris worked this strawberry pattern in queen's stitch, the most difficult and time-consuming of all canvas-work stitches. Her sewing case has an engraved silver clasp, compartments for thread, and wool flaps to hold needles.
