The ballet L’Oiseau de Feu (Firebird) was first staged in Paris in 1910 with sets by Aleksandr Golovin, and costumes by Aleksandr Golovin and Léon Bakst. The ballet was restaged in 1926 in London, this time with décor designs by Goncharova.
