This Rondache belongs to a group of elaborate armors commissioned for a tournament that took place in Vienna in 1560. Wolfgang Grosschedel and his son, Franz, two leading German specialists working in the distinguished armor-making center of Landshut, possibly made the group. However, the artists who etched the elegant floral scrolls remain nameless.
