The contrasting top-stitching of this suit accentuates Toscani's masterful and innovative seaming. Buttoned-back, wing-shaped lapels are paired with a stand-up collar; angular side front seams incorporate welt pockets at the chest and waist; zippers close both the center front and the back vent; and the trousers are cuffed in the front only. In February 1969, Gentlemen's Quarterly (GQ) called attention to the suit's lines and also noted its emphasis on broad shoulders and a trim waist.
