Jimmy Carter (b. 1924)
President, 1977-81
In 1986, friends of President and Mrs. Carter presented to them a service from Lenox China decorated with the gold presidential seal and a green border. Set C. Momjian led the fundraising for the project. Although the china is marked in gold “PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER / 1980,” the service was completed after President Carter left the White House in 1981.
Set C. Momjian collaborated with Woodmere China of New Castle, Pennsylvania, to design a dining service for President Jimmy Carter’s fishing lodge in Georgia. The pieces are decorated with fishing flies, rimmed with a green band and line, and display Jimmy Carter’s monogram at the center. The pattern, without the monogram, was also available to the public.
