The "Hidden" vase is made by rapid manufacturing (RM), a computer-controlled process that can best be described as three-dimensional printing. Dan Yeffet, director of the Jelly Lab Studio in Amsterdam, designed the vase for Materialise.MGX, a boutique division of a large Belgian company that has been a leader in this technology.
