    Ronald Reagan (1911-2004)
    President, 1981-89

In 1981, a red-and-gold bordered state service was given to the White House by the Knapp Foundation through the White House Historical Association. Additional china made for the White House during President Reagan’s administration included a dining service for use in the White House “mess,” at Camp David, and aboard Air Force One. Manufactured in Japan and England in 1983 by the Dallas-based firm Fitz and Floyd, the porcelain displays the company’s “Starburst” design of blue, gold, and red borders with the presidential seal added to each piece.
