LabelThese pieces are unusual because they retain the original paper label of their manufacturer and exhibitor at the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition of 1876, "Koransha." Koransha was a firm established in 1875 by Fukagawa. He later became president of the company in partnership with Fukami Suminosuke and Tsuji Katsuzo, porcelain manufacturers of Arita wares, and Tezuka Kamenosuke.
