This sculpture shows Guanyin seated on a rock. A hou (an animal that resembles a cross between a tiger and a lion) and a dragon holding a jewel appear below. Partially legible inscriptions on the lower sides of the rock state that the image was produced for the Tong Ji Temple in Shanxi province.
