Half Armor

Brescia was the largest armor-making center on the Italian peninsula after Milan. The town of Brescia and its surroundings were the principal suppliers of arms to the Republic of Venice. Struck on several portions of this armor is a mark of an ox, possibly derived from a town's coat of arms, suggesting that the armor was originally housed in a municipal arsenal.
