Lent by Robinson to the Oklahoma Art Center's "Inaugural Exhibition", 1958. Gladys Robinson was the former wife of the actor and collector Edward G. Robinson, whom she divorced in 1956. The catalog of the 1959 exhibition of her collection at the Hammer Galleries, New York, notes that the collection had been assembled in the past three years.
