"Filterjet" Fan

Designed by Peter Schlumbohm (American (born Germany), 1896–1962) Made by Chemex Corporation, Pittsfield, Massachusetts (1936–present)
When Chemex introduced the "Filterjet" fan in 1951, it was advertised as "the first electric fan that filters air," without the aid of blades. Schlumbohm designed a number of products for Chemex, including a well-known coffeemaker and a water kettle.
