Folding Screen

Designed 1946
Designed by Charles Eames (American, 1907–1978) , and Ray Eames (American, 1912–1988) Made from 1946-55 and 1994-present by the Herman Miller Furniture Company, Zeeland, Michigan (1923–present)
The sections of this undulating, sculptural screen were produced using the same molded plywood technique that was employed in a number of the Eames's early chairs. Originally connected by a synthetic adhesive developed during World War II, the panels were later joined by canvas hinges, as in this example.
