Quilt

This quilt design known as Philadelphia Pavement was a version of the popular Amish design known as Trip Around the World. Quilts made in Lancaster County in this design are usually almost square in size and have wide outside borders and large corner blocks. The earliest quilts such as this one were made of fine wool.
