A South American Wine Dinner
Friday, November 13, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.

Reservations required

Grilled Belgian Endive, Caramelized Pears, Shaved Duck Prosciutto, Lettuce Broth, Blood Orange Syrup
Natura Sauvignon Blanc (Chile)

Definite “wow factor” on the nose of this one. It has powerful tropical fruit aromatics like pineapple, citrus, banana and melon. Additionally it has a bit of flint and a bit of grassiness. The palate is also very good, with apple and lemon up front with exceptional acidity, followed by melon and flint. The finish is fairly long and very enjoyable. It is an outstanding wine and all organic to boot!

Butter poached Lobster, Shaved Fennel, Fuji Apple, Lemongrass, Tarragon Oil
Santa Carolina Reserve Chardonnay (Chile)

Bright gold/yellow color. It features an intense combination of fruity aromas such as pear, figs, pineapple, and bananas. On the palate, this fruity, fresh and well-balanced wine features ripe tropical fruit and a soft, mild buttery texture, with hints of vanilla and toffee.

Venison Tenderloin Medallions, Chocolate Sauce, Bing Cherries, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Chestnuts
El Origen Malbec (Argentina)

Exceptional bright red color with nice touch of violet, this Reserve Malbec stands out for its intense and complex aromatic expression. Sweet aromas of berries and plum jam predominates on the nose without hiding the spice notes of oak. Very elegant and feminine, the palate is concentrated, with round tannins and great structure. Black raspberry fruit balances perfectly with vanilla and soft toast. The finish is long and smooth.

Spiced Pumpkin Mousse, Dark Chocolate Truffle, Pumpkin Seed Brittle
Maple Whiskey Infused Warm Cider
