Arranging Your Visit
Registration begins in September of each year. Register early as programs fill quickly; a minimum minimum of two weeks notice is required when making your appointment. Appointments may be made by phone at (215) 684-7333 Tuesday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 2:00–4:30 p.m. or send your visit request online >>Please have the following information available when you call:
- complete address and phone number of your school
- school calendar (including testing dates, etc.)
- lesson topic
- several potential dates
- lunch plans for your group
Hours
Guided tours: Tuesday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Unguided tours: Tuesday–Friday, noon–5:00 p.m.

Student Admission Fees (due upon arrival)

Philadelphia Museum of Art
Preschool program: $75 per class
K–12 programs: $5 per student for Philadelphia public*, private, and parochial schools;
$7 per student for all other schools

Rodin Museum
Guided tours: same as rates for Philadelphia Museum of Art
Unguided tours: $5 per person
*Thanks to a grant, the Museum is able to offer free admission to a limited number of Philadelphia public school classes. Free admission will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Chaperones
No students may tour the Museum unchaperoned. Student behavior in the Museum is the responsibility of the chaperones from your school. Please make sure all chaperones understand and are sympathetic to the Museum rules and regulations.
All required chaperones are admitted free.
Please note: The Museum cannot accommodate more than the required number of chaperones on a guided tour.
- Preschool: 1 adult per 3 students
- Grades K–6: 1 adult per 5 students
- Grades 7–12: 1 adult per 10 students

Accessibility
All Museum programs are available to all students. Please inform the Museum of any special needs that your students may have when making your reservation. For those with physical disabilities, the Museum offers an accessible entrance, parking, elevators, and lunch and restroom facilities. Touch Tours are offered for students who are visually impaired and a wireless sound-enhancement system for those who are hearing impaired. Sign language interpreters are also available upon advance request.
Lunch Facilities
Brown-bag lunch facilities are available for K–12. Facilities are limited so reserve space when scheduling your visit. Vending machines are available for sodas, and there is a cold-water drinking fountain
Shopping
K–8 students can shop in a special student store geared toward their taste and budget.
High school groups are also permitted to use the main Museum Store. They may enter the store in groups of ten with a chaperone.
Educator's Pass
One free-admission educator's pass will be sent to teachers with a confirmed booking. Please use this pass to visit the Museum in preparation for your class's visit.
Arrival
Buses will be directed by Security to the appropriate parking space upon arrival. Students should remain on the bus while the group leader registers and pays. All tours begin in the Van Pelt Auditorium. Groups will be admitted at their scheduled arrival time; late arrivals will result in shortened lessons. Groups intending to self-tour before their lesson will be admitted after groups with earlier appointments.
