Featuring notable works of art from the Museum’s collection, each set of teaching posters contains five or six posters related to a specific theme, as well as a resource book for teachers, all packaged in a plastic portfolio. Each full-color, laminated, 18 x 24-inch poster presents a large image of the artwork on the front and information, looking questions, maps, and related art projects on the back. The resource book contains worksheets, interdisciplinary activities, vocabulary, and annotated book lists. These materials can be used for grades K–12, with teachers’ adaptations for age and ability.

African American Artists: 1859 to the Present
