Treasures of the Joseon Dynasty was AMAZING! It was a joy to see artifacts from the very eras and lands I have seen depicted in many Korean historical dramas...

The Korean culture is pretty similar to Chinese culture. Many symbols have the same meaning and the characters used in the past are mostly the same.

I enjoyed parts of this exhibition, but I was disappointed in the explanatory materials. In particular, I never understood the role of Daoism in the the world view of this period. The role of Buddhism is made much clearer. Was Daoism conflated with Confucianism? That was the sense I got but it was not made clear to me.
