All those different faces looked so human. They almost made me feel that I could start a conversation with the man.

I really liked the video about "The Hundred Guilder Print." I walked right by the print, then sat through the video, which really revealed how much skill went into the print. Afterward I went back to the actual piece and saw in much more richly. There even seemed to be a small hidden face hidden in the cross hatching in the upper left. Comparing it to an adjacent print made me see just how much REmbrandt worked on the spreading of the ink. Drypoint is a wonderful technique. I will never rush by another print again!

I thought that this exhibit was interesting, but I found the audio-tour rather generic, and I felt that the layout did not have the usual purpose or insight that some of the other exhibits that are usually here, perhaps that was due to the limited number of available Rembrant works or the budget of this exhibit.

The exhibit had some great art, but it was rather small. And we had to wake our sleeping baby because strollers weren't allowed for some reason, making our trip through the exhibit even faster because of a cranky child. We'd love to se another special exhibit...but strollers shouldn't be a problem, and the entrance fee should be in more direct proportion to the art offered.
