Thank you for your participation in our discussion, and for helping us choose which piece if furniture to add to the collection. Your feedback is very appreciated!
Totally feel that 'SHOWTIME' should be the winning addition of the collaborative contemporary collection.

I vote for the wood chair.

I like the wood chair

Newson's wood chair is wonderful -- beautiful and innovative. Who knows, it might even be comfortable!
As for the other three objects, they feel like the artists are trying a bit too hard to be different and attract attention. I can't imagine living with any of them.

I vote for the wood chair. It is elegant and functional--a great combination.

There is bent wood—and then there is Marc Newson's "Wood Chair"—beautiful to behold!
Marie - 6.24.2011 - 3:19 PM
The fluidity and grace of the wooden chair are irresistible. It has my vote.
Jill - 6.24.2011 - 1:08 PM
I love the wood chair and its airy elegance.

Big blue won me over. It looks like a thin man sculpted although I wouldn't want to sit on it.
Oregon Boy - 6.23.2011 - 4:58 PM
The wooden chair is the most imaginative, creative, and original. It also has a natural simplicity in both materials and form. It has a kind of rustic elegance and is pleasing to look at and consider.
Jennifer - 6.23.2011 - 4:55 PM
The clay chair is most unusual in material & would certainly appeal to the young, creative mind
Eileen - 6.23.2011 - 3:46 PM
No doubt about it - the WOOD CHAIR all the way.

Madame Dakar--by far!

Please consider the wooden chair. While the technique of bent wood isn't new, the graceful flow of the material looks fresh. I would prefer to see objects produced more locally however.

I am torn between Marc Newson's wood chair and Birsel+Seck's "Madame Dakar" chair. The latter is interesting and innovative but the wood chair is so elegant and beautiful, much lovelier than Frank Gehry's Power Play chair which also uses a ribbon-like design. How about the wood chair for this year and "Madame Dakar" chair for next year?
Hannah - 6.18.2011 - 7:30 AM
I would add the wood chair.
The design is simple and elegant and the form gives a different expression to the wood and the chair.
Marilyn - 6.17.2011 - 7:39 PM
I would add the showtime armchair.
