Visiting an exhibition in person is a much richer experience than visiting online. Why not leave a comment to share your thoughts and impressions with others?

I was here with my friend and when we saw the art I said "would you just look at it?"

I agree with what Myra was saying about the term "outsider" art. Many of these works have contextual specificity, they belong somewhere. There is some discussion of the communities these come from, but I think that this exhibition quickly devolves into gawking at otherness. Does "outsider art" simply mean not influenced by the Western Art canon?

I found a lot of the pieces to be different in that they strayed from the conventional ways of most artists you see when walking the halls of this great museam and so i must say i liked it very much

I really liked Assemblage with Faces by Simon sparrow. It was so cool to see the action figures and beads and all the other stuff in the picture. I also liked a lot of the other pictures in the exhibit. I think I should come back again soon.

Can't we come up with some way of expressing this without calling it"outsider" art? I hope that we can incorporate the sophistication of the spirit of this work.
