Tucked inside many of the Main Building's hallways and stairwells, visitors will find examples of the Museum's vast holdings of Dutch ceramics including tiles, Delft earthenware, and porcelain. These range in date from the 16th to the 20th century.

The designs on a number of the objects you may see demonstrate a strong connection to the times and circumstances under which they were produced, with favorite motifs including scenes of Dutch life and patriotism, animals and sea creatures, biblical scenes, and floral designs.
