Since 1969, the Philadelphia Museum of Art has been bringing together individual supporters with an exemplary commitment to the arts through its upper levels of membership. Today, these members include trustees, civic leaders, and other participants in a dynamic philanthropic community. Their generous annual contributions represent the Museum's largest source of unrestricted funding—the funding necessary to keep the Museum’s doors open to over one million visitors a year.
Whether it's schoolchildren taking part in one of the Museum's acclaimed education programs, or an international visitor strolling through the galleries for the first time, they share a unique opportunity to learn through the visual arts. By becoming a member at the Patron, Associate, or Chairman's Council levels, you help ensure that these opportunities continue, with your contributions being directed towards the three major areas comprising the Museum's general operating budget: education programs, ongoing research, and conservation of the collections.
