This black-tie event is high on the lists of young Philadelphia society! Check back in the fall for the date of next year’s event.
February 23rd, 2008 – Viva La Vida!
For the 2008 Young Friends Winter Gala, the Great Stair Hall was transformed into a Latin paradise for over 500 attendees. Guests enjoyed an evening filled with the art of Frida Kahlo; colorful cocktails; fabulous food; a live band and dancing; and a very successful raffle and auction! VIPs were treated to an exclusive lounge stocked with premium liquor, swag bags, and a purse check. Attendees were also encouraged to help raise money for an on-site acquisition of an artwork by Bill Armstrong, a New York-based artist. All funds raised from this event will be used to support the mission of the Young Friends, to acquire works of art for the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s permanent collection.
