The Museum is dedicated to cultivating and involving diverse populations in its collections, exhibitions, programs, and community activities. Through civic engagement and inclusion, we hope to broaden our reach and attract art-lovers of all backgrounds.

In the Collections

The Museum's commitment to diversity is evident in its vast collections. In fact, a visit to the Museum is in many ways a journey around the world; with the enlightenment and inspiration of discovering new cultures all under one roof.

In the Exhibitions

The Museum emphasizes diversity in a number of the exhibitions that are on view throughout the year. Specific in subject and engaging in presentation, these exhibitions bring the unique artistry of different cultures and nationalities to audiences of thousands.

The Korean Heritage Group

The Korean Heritage Group was established in May 1997. The mission of the Group includes promoting the growth and vitality of the Museum’s Korean collections through the support of Korean programs, events and exhibitions at the Museum; acting as stewards for the Korean Heritage Fund; serving as liaisons between the Museum and the Korean community; and aiding in development of outreach efforts geared toward both the Korean and general communities.
