May I visit the Museum without my membership cards?
Yes, you may always gain access to the Museum as a current member without your cards! Just check in at any Membership or Visitor Services Desk with your name and address. When you check in, you will be issued a temporary membership card, so that you able to take advantage of your member discounts in the stores, Cafeteria, and the Museum restaurant – Granite Hill.

I just joined/renewed at the Ambassador membership level; how can I utilize my general admission benefit at participating museums without my membership cards?
A temporary membership card can be issued to you via email, please contact Member Services at 215-684-7840 or , Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

How can I make a change to my contact information?
If you would like to update your contact information, please contact Member Services at 215-684-7840 or , Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. so that we may assist you. You can also update your information during your visit to the Museum any Membership or Visitor Services Desk.

How can I purchase a Student Level Membership?
If you are interested in purchasing a Student level membership online or through the mail, please provide proof of full-time student status by either fax 215-235-0042 or email . After doing so, you will be contacted by Member Services with a promotional code that will allow you to complete the transaction online. If you sent your payment through the mail, your membership will be processed once proof of full-time student status is received.

When will my special exhibition tickets be mailed to me?
Complimentary member special exhibition tickets are not automatically mailed to you. You must reserve your special exhibition tickets for a specific date and time. Once you have reserved your tickets, we will either mail them to you or place them on Will-Call for you to pick up.

Three Easy Ways to Reserve Your Free Exhibition Tickets:

  • Call: The Museum Ticket Center at 215-235-SHOW (7469), Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.*
  • Online: www.philamuseum.org*
  • Visit: Any Membership or Visitor Services Desk in the Museum

*A nonrefundable service charge of $2.50 per member ticket and $3.50 per nonmember ticket is added to all phone and online orders. The service charge is waived for Sustainer members and above.

Gift memberships are available at the Individual level and above. Your gift recipient will enjoy a full year of exclusive membership benefits from the date that they activate the gift. Gift memberships must be activated within one year of purchase.

Redeeming Your Admission and Ticket Benefits

Admission: Present your membership card(s) at any Visitor Services Desk to receive free Museum admission.

Tickets: Reserve your free exhibition tickets in advance through the Museum’s Ticket Center at 215-235-SHOW (7469), online, or at any Visitor Services Desk in the Museum.

Guest Passes: Call Member Services at 215-684-7840, or by e-mail at to request your free guest passes.

Admission at Partner Museums: Present your Philadelphia Museum of Art membership card (Ambassador level and above) at our partner museums.

  • Parking: first hour free, $8 for the next 4 hours, and $2 for each additional hour

Your membership contribution, less the fair market value of the benefits you receive, is tax deductible. Please refer to the information below for the Museum’s estimate of the tax deductible portion of your membership:

Student all but $14 is tax deductible
Individual all but $14 is tax deductible
Dual Plus all but $28 is tax deductible
Family & Friends all but $88 is tax deductible
Ambassador all but $88 is tax deductible
Sustainer all but $120 is tax deductible
Sponsor all but $144 is tax deductible
Patron all but $244 is tax deductible
