Yodsaran Chaiduangkeaw
"Jeaw"

I think that America has something for me to learn.
I don't mind where I go, because everywhere there are many different things to give me new experiences.
What is your name and background?
My name is Yodsaran Chaiduangkeaw. My nickname is Jeaw. I'm twenty-two years old. My parents were born in Lamphun. After their marriage they moved to Chiangrai in the northeast of Thailand because of their work. So I was born in Chiangrai on the 4th of September, 1975. My home is very beautiful. The land behind the home has a mountain and in front is a river and big fields. My home has an orchard with lychee and tamarind trees.

I'm a Wednesday child. I have a younger sister and one older sister. My parents often travel to other places for work. When they separated, I lived in my grandmother's home is Lamphun. I studied high school in Lamphun, majoring in science. Afterward, I enrolled at Chiangmai University to study art.

What kind of work do you do?
My work is about social relationships.

Human behavior.

Human relationships.

Human communication.

If I have something I'm interested in, I keep it in my mind and select it for my work. I use all kinds of media, depending on what suits best.

Have you traveled before?
I have never traveled to America. But I like to travel. When I have free time, I try to look for new trips with my friends. I don't mind where I go because everywhere there are many different things to give me new experiences.

How do you feel about traveling across America?
I think America has many things to offer. I want to get variety in life. Especially in America, where there are various geographical features. If I go there, I would like to know how I will feel in these places.

What would you like to see?
I want to see the desert. It is almost overwhelming to see such a large piece of earth made up of fine grains of sand.

What do you expect to learn from this trip?
I want to know about the relationship in America between capitalism and social conditions. Americans. What they do every day. How they think about their lives. I want to exchange and to share opinions to find a balance point between these two.

I think that America has something for me to learn. I don't know what before I go there. I do know that it will be the best new experience for me.
