Scope and Content Note

Barber's correspondence in two alphabets, 1901 to 1911 and 1912 to 1916, is contained here. This is the period when Barber was the actual working head of the Museum. Among his correspondents with more than two folders each are: Mrs. William D. Frishmuth, Honorary Curator of Musical Instruments; John D. McIlhenny, Board Member; Samuel Robineau, of the Keramic Studio; Theodore Search, President of the Board of Trustees; and Howard F. Stratton, Director of the Art Department of the School.
