Scope and Content Note


The first subgroup was an ongoing file maintained by the Director's office from 1915 to 1969. Arranged chronologically, it includes correspondence, lists, and various materials assembled in the creation of Museum Exhibitions. Then, from 1969 to 1977, the Director's Exhibition Records were integrated with the Director's regular files. The second subgroup of files from 1977 to 1982 were maintained by the Special Exhibition Office.
