Philadelphia, PA (January 8, 2002) – From Friday, January 25, through Sunday, January 27, the Fleisher Art Memorial will host a benefit sale of designer art wear to help support its 104-year tradition of offering children free tuition art classes. Events in Style, a retail outlet based in Lambertville, N.J., will offer creative clothing at greatly reduced prices. The outlet will donate a percentage of its sales to the Fleisher, which serves some 500 young people each term in Saturday programs at the 709-721 Catherine Street location. Sale hours are Friday and Saturday, 10 am-5 pm, and Sunday, 10 am-3 pm.
Thora Jacobson, Director of the Fleisher, said: "We're delighted by this enlightened partnership with Events in Style. It will be enjoyable for people who love a sense of exuberance and unexpectedness in style. It will also be a great way to support a place devoted to nurturing young talents. There's value both in the prices and in benefiting education in the arts."
Events in Style is an outlet for more than thirty manufacturers whose designer artwear collections are sold primarily in boutiques. For women tired of the mall stores and the limited choices for creative dressing, Events in Style offers the perfect alternative – personal expression and great prices. Susan Flynn, Events in Style President and Founder, explains: “By purchasing the excess inventory of these companies, we are able to offer our customers unique, expressive clothing at substantial savings.” She adds, “Art and fashion go hand in hand. By shopping at this event, customers are supporting the Fleisher Art Memorial’s dedication to creativity and access to the arts.”
Events in Style clothes are soft and sophisticated, and range from casual to dressy, in sizes 6 to 26. This sale will feature a selection of garments from designers: Stephanie Schuster, Kiko, Jackie Loves John and Good Dog Mud Pig.
Events in Style has one permanent store, open daily, in Lambertville, NJ and produces some 25 traveling sales annually from Syracuse, NY to Washington, DC. More information about Events in Style, the collections and the traveling schedule can be found at: www.eventsinstyle.com.
