With holdings of more than 150,000 works of art on paper, the museum’s Center for Prints, Drawings, and Photographs is one of the largest public collections of such material in the United States. Exhibitions and installations of works on paper from the collection are regularly presented in the Honickman and Berman Galleries and in galleries 121-123 in the main building, and in the Julien Levy Gallery for photography in the Perelman building. Because only a small percentage of the department’s vast collections are on display, works from the permanent collection are made available for study by appointment in the Abigail Rebecca Cohen Study Room.
