The Archives has participated in a number of microfilming projects sponsored by the Archives of American Art (AAA). The microfilmed material listed below represents approximately 2% (12.5 cubic feet or 30,000 documents) of the archival collection, and is available for use in the Museum’s Library. Appointments for the microfilm reader are required. Contact the Library to schedule an appointment.

To better understand the context and content of the microfilmed records listed below, researchers should examine finding aids to the archival collections, which are available online, and Philadelphia: A Guide to Art-Related Archival Materials by Marina Pacini (Washington, D.C.: Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, 1994). Reference copies of this guide are available in the Museum’s Library, or may be purchased through AAA. Microfilm holdings may also be obtained through interlibrary loan from AAA.
