Made by the Sèvres porcelain factory, Sèvres, France, 1756 - present. Possibly decorated by Mathieu Fouré, French, active 1754 - 1762
This wine cooler was likely part of a dessert service that was sold by the Paris dealer Lazare Duvaux to the duc de Richelieu (Louis-François-Armand de Vignerot du Plessis), grandnephew of Cardinal Richelieu, on January 9, 1759....
