Relic Box (Capsula) with scenes of the Annunciation and the Crucifixion

This box, in the form of a large locket that could be worn around the neck, contains fifty-six small relics glued to the sides of the container. Each relic has a small handwritten label identifying the saint's name. The box comes from one of the best known collections of sacred relics, usually called the Guelph Treasure.
