Advertisement: Application of Mr. Charles Henry's Chromatic Circle

1888
Paul Signac (French, 1863–1935) Printed by Eugène Verneau, 108 Rue de la Folie Méricourt, Paris
Signac created this print as an advertisement for a new book by Charles Henry, a mathematician-physiologist-psychologist. In the 1890s the latest color theories of scientists such as Henry were studied closely by Georges Seurat, Signac, and other painters who adopted the system of painting in dots of divided colors.
