Maker's mark of Nicholas Noël Boutet (French, 1761-1833). Boutet was appointed Arquebusier Ordinaire du Roi in 1788. In 1800, Napoleon, as First Consul, granted Boutet an eighteen year concession for the Manufacture Nationale de Versailles.
