Takahashi Yoshio was a noted scholar and connoisseur of tea utensils. The donor, K. Ogi, whose tea name was Rodo, was the owner and architect of the Museum’s teahouse, Sunkaraku (Evanescent Joys), (Philadelphia Museum of Art, 1928-114-1).
