Prayer Book
France, Saint Amand, 1538

Two Angels Holding a Monstrance. Adored by musical angels, a large golden monstrance (vessel) used to display the sacramental host fills the miniature. The host is surrounded by six sword-carrying figures. A strawberry fills the letter G that begins prayers to the Holy Trinity.
