Scope and Content Note

World's fairs provided Kimball with yet another source of architectural references. Most of the documentation pertains to the fantastic and fantastical buildings and other monumental structures erected for the 1893 Columbian Exhibition. Clippings, particularly from the American Architect and Building News, comprise the bulk of material. There are also photographs of other published references, some of which include Kimball's notations.

Arrangement

Alhpabetical by title of world's fair. Material within the Columbian Exhibition subgroup is arranged alphabetically by building or other structure title, followed by general files of photographs and miscellaneous references.
