KEEP

Art and photographs by Shelley Spector
Essay by Matthew F. Singer
Design by Anthony Smyrski at Random Embassy

This chunky little book—published in conjunction with the exhibition —is a record of the artist’s hands-on, labor-intensive process. Using her smartphone as an archive and sketchbook, Spector captured more than 200 photographs of her Philadelphia studio, works in progress, and sources of inspiration. The images are accompanied with an essay by Matthew F. Singer.

The width and height of KEEP correspond to the dimensions of Spector’s phone screen, while the number of pages relates to its “photos” folder.
