Join us for a panel discussion led by industrial designer Stephen Burks, 2023 Collab Design Excellence Award honoree, with Philadelphia-based creatives, including visual artist ruby onyinyechi amanze and filmmaker Sosena Solomon.
In conversation with curator Alisa Chiles, the panelists will discuss their unique approaches to navigating the art world as artists and designers of color.
With Burks’s exhibition Stephen Burks: Shelter in Place as a backdrop, they will also talk about how their work is inspired by their cultural heritage as well as their diverse strategies for using art to address social issues.
