Gallery Maintenance

The museum is undergoing a largescale maintenance project to ensure the preservation of the collection for future visitors. Due to this work, certain galleries and individual artwork may be off view during your visit.

European Art Galleries and Period Rooms (Galleries 376 through 399) will be closed October 10 – December 12
Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers is currently off view through early 2025

With over 200 galleres, there is still plenty of art, architecture and design to explore!

We are working hard to keep our online collection database accurate. If the success of your visit relies on a specific artwork being on view - please contact VisitorServices@philamuseum.org to inquire about its status. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 72 hours, depending on the item in question.
