A Conversation with Artist and Social Justice Activist Jesse Krimes

Thursday, June 6,
5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. EST

Join us for a conversation with Philadelphia-based artist and social justice activist Jesse Krimes and WHYY journalist Cherri Gregg on how Krimes uses his art to generate dialogue around the US penal system and help humanize those most impacted by it.

This conversation will take place against the backdrop of Krimes’ installation, Rikers Quilt, produced in response to ongoing abuses at Rikers Island and Krimes’ own experience with incarceration.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is proud to host the first institutional presentation this work.
