Health Through Sports (La Santé par le Sport)

c. 1929
Max Ernst (American (born Germany), 1891–1976)
As a core member of the Dada artists based in Cologne, Germany, and, later, of the Surrealist movement, Max Ernst led a prolific career and embraced a variety of mediums in his work. Imaginative collages of found prints and photographs, often with politically subversive or vaguely sexualized undertones, are among his most radical creations.
